In 1999, Joe Mitcham, Jr., took over, spearheading a new chapter in the orchard's journey. Collaborating with local processing companies, Mitcham Farms embarked on an innovative endeavor to transform excess peaches into exquisite products. This initiative led to the birth of The Peach Store, a rustic haven adjacent to the orchard, offering a diverse array of gourmet foods, gift baskets, and local arts and crafts.
